An interesting start - JAN 2024

A few things happened in January. A big one is, I forgot to write this blog post. An hour ago I accidently cut my hand, perhaps my punishment for dawdling on this post once I remembered I needed to still write one for January.

Since my hand still hurts, this one will be very short.

My first video in my tutorial series

Last month, during one of my catchup meetings with my friend, I tried to present my draft tutorial video. The audio wasn't working so I uploaded the rough draft on YouTube and thought, why not just make it public? I can always take it down afterwards, nobody's going to see it anyway. I was wrong. My best friend was recommended the video and watched that night. Eventually I got about 30 views before I finished refining the video. The draft video took about 1 whole day to make, though I spent about 1 month thinking about and imagining what I would be drawing for each part of the video.

I wrote 4 527 words in story planning.

I made 2 paintings in January.

I finished posting 100 days in a row on Reddit for the First 100 paintings.
