I had many plans for February. For most of this month I have been on holiday in Taiwan. It's been a lot of fun, both in terms of visiting different places and in terms of seeing some of my family and friends again.
Before I left for Taiwan, I had many plans in terms of my creative projects. I planned to be done with my art tutorial series. I planned to also make 40 paintings. I planned all sorts of wild and wacky things for my 3 week holiday.
None of these things happened, and yet I am happy with my progress nonetheless. What did I do?
I had some extra thoughts about my art tutorial series on my YouTube channel. I have been stalling on the next video, much to the chagrin of some of my friends. Time in Taiwan, along with discussions with my friends have led me to a new approach to this first iteration of the tutorial series for beginners. Now, I plan to make the tutorial videos much simpler and shorter, and instead have additional content, tips and tricks on my website. Previously, I had wanted to add an extra tip or two in each video. However, this goes against the original goal of having super simple streamlined videos without any extra fluff. Yes, the tips and tricks are important, but I think it makes more sense for each person to decide if they want to see these or not. So I now plan to have these in blog posts on my website here, starting with the introduction.
I wrote 4 960 words in story planning. Much of this word count I did on the plane to and from Taiwan.

No.217 - "10000 years in the future 3"
In terms of the 1000 paintings, I made 6 more this month. All 6 were paintings of scenes I experienced in a dream I had last year. In the dream I was living in the distant future, in a future where dying of old age had faded into in the mists of time. I was ancient. These paintings do not show exactly what I saw in my dreams, but they do capture the feeling or essence of what I experienced. In particular, the later ones have a surreal quality that represents the ethereal nature of the dream itself rather well.
