A busy month - MAR 2022

My first month back in the Netherlands has gone by incredibly quickly. A week after my last post I created this painting, another scene from 100 Other Worlds.

I also visited friends in Rotterdam and attended an oil painting class. The teacher gave us an interesting talk about the history of oil painting and some of the science behind it too.

Then I had the opportunity to work with oil paints for, I believe, the first time in my life. We were supposed to pick a flower from a vase of several types of flowers and paint it.

Since it was my first, and possibly only, time to work with oil paints, I wanted to create something that was more me.

The rest of my time this month was spent on learning the ropes of my new job and searching for a more permanent place to stay in the Netherlands. Oh and I did manage to attend one day of the Dutch Comic Con, something I waited for since the start of 2020.
