TENNYSON PAINTS

I finally got around to watching Rick and Morty and thought it was amazing. I loved the worlds they explored and the crazy stories. Rick was hilarious and way over the top. In particular I remember watching the pilot episode and seeing Rick and Morty walking through the spaceport. I was amazed by how lively yet advanced the space port seemed.

There was a sense of wonder as they walked through the space port. For this painting I wanted to capture that sense of wonder, so I painted Morty looking around with his mouth open while Rick, who's been there and done that, pulling him along to get to their destination.

Looking at the scene again I realised Morty did not seem amazed by the spaceport at all, rather a little grossed out by some of the aliens. I still wanted to show some of my amazement in the painting, so I decided to paint him that way.
